GENERAL POLICIES

As a business, "WORKSHOP HARDWARE" (herein referred to as "Seller") tries to assist to the best of our ability any particular repair problem. However we reserve the right to refuse service to any individual.

Under the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), when an individual purchases an item they take title to it (check out your rights & responsibilities by reading the UCC.pdf). The seller has no obligation to take the item back. All product warranties and guarantees are provided by the manufacturer. The retailer only has an obligation to provide an express warranty of merchantability, meaning the product was expected to work at time of purchase. Once a product has been used, then the manufacturer's warranty shall apply and take precedence over seller's obligation.

The seller makes no representation as to whether any product purchased meets the customer's needs or expectations. The customer has an obligation and responsibility to determine whether the product purchased meets their need for their specific application. Products purchased that are not used for purposes intended by the manufacturer voids any warranty. Customer assumes all liability for installation of product. If the customer is unable to make a determination as to whether a particular product meets their need, they should consult a professional in that particular field or governmental licensing body to assist them.

Customer should determine prior to purchase whether the product purchased will meet their need. The seller will not be liable nor accept back any product that in our determination has been purchased because the customer wants to "experiment". Customers will experiment at their own risk.

RETURN POLICIES

We are not bound by any law or regulation to accept back any return. Terms of sale are dictated by the conditions under which a product was purchased. Therefore: If we agree to accept back an item, we do so ONLY as a show of customer goodwill, and the following shall apply:

For a cash refund, an item must be returned within 10 days of purchase accompanied by the sales receipt, in packaging that has not opened or damaged, with all parts complete and intact. A 25% restock fee shall apply.

For a credit or debit card refund, a returned must be returned within 10 days accompanied by the sales receipt and the credit card charge receipt, in packaging that has not opened or damaged, with all parts complete and intact. A 35% restock fee shall apply to cover the cost of additional cost of card processing.

Returns made after 10 days will be charged a 50% restock fee. For returns made using a credit or debit card, a 60% restock fee shall apply. Refund will only be credited back to the card account used to make the purchase.

Absolutely, No returns will be accepted after 30 days.

Absolutely, No refund will be given without a sales receipt.

All returns are subject to management's discretion. We reserve the right to refuse any return with no reason given.

We refuse to accept any return where the packaging has been torn or damaged, nor any package that has been taped. We can't fix the packaging and will not accept any shop worn products. Products were sold new and are expected to be returned in the same condition.

Products are sold for specific intended purposes. Use for any other than the intended purpose voids any warranty or return. We are not a trial and fit business. It is the customer's responsibility to determine whether a product is the correct one for their job and whether it will work for their particular purpose. The customer should measure or otherwise determine prior to purchase. We will not accept any liability or responsibility, if you don't provide complete or suggestive information.

Any product opened on premise without assistance by the customer is considered purchased. You open it, you own it. We are happy to assist you in any way to make sure a product will work for you.

We will not accept any return for any item that has been neglected or abused (examples: leaving a pressurized garden hose in the sun, or power tools connected to underrated power cords such as lawn edgers, hedge trimmers & blowers.). READ YOUR DIRECTIONS.

Some products may not be returned because of sanitation or other health issues, product liability, building codes, or if a product has been sealed by the manufacturer and the seal has been broken (examples: toilet & sink parts, drain snakes, pump sprayers, smoke detectors, water heater parts, circuit breakers & panels, ladders.) If in doubt, ask prior to purchase.

Products may not be returned if the product has been trial installed, becomes contaminated with water or other liquid, pipe dope, teflon tape or if seals have been compressed, cross threaded or distorted.

We will not accept back any seasonal, discounted, clearance or other items not purchased at full price.

It is the purchaser's responsibility to read all instructions and warnings prior to use of any product.

Manufacturer's warranties are those provided by the manufacturer, not the retailer. Any warranty issue must be resolved by the manufacturer. We accept no returns covered by a manufacturer's warranty. We don't guarantee, the manufacturer does.

Items tagged with a sticker that states the following will not be accepted back as a return, "This product is nonreturnable if the packaging has been opened or altered. It is the purchaser's responsibility to determine whether this product meets their needs. If in doubt, consult the manufacturer. Please ask about our return policy if you have questions."

If you do not understand how to install a product, you are wise and prudent to consult with your local or county building inspection department, or to hire a licensed, bonded and insured contractor to perform the installation for you. That is why these entities exist and why they perform tasks that are not understood by the general consumer. WORKSHOP HARDWARE will not be liable for providing general information on how to use or install a particular product and we rely upon your ability to convey to use what your problem may be. Read the instructions. When in doubt, read the instructions. And when you still can't understand what you are doing, then don't do it.
